Chocolat Records return with CR018. They introduce JEPE with his debut EP on the label. With a lush and atmospheric theme, JEPE offers a 3 track EP with two edits of ‘Emotional Rescue’ and title track ‘Walls’.

Commencing the line up JEPE gives the feature track, Walls. A relaxed build up with an electronic arpeggiator, which in-tenses as the percussion builds. Strings hold everything together while the arpeggiator journeys into is self made melodies. A sense of wonder is created with this arrangement as deep lying instruments add to it’s charm. Following the feature is ‘Emotional Rescue’, Sstrong kick drum and minimal percussion start off, bringing a holding baseline and bell melodies played on a higher octave. A moving arp and stronger percussion leads into lush brass leads which in turn breaks to it’s peak. A joyful and thoughtful piece which induces feelings of nostalgia. For the final offering of the EP, JEPE gives the Breeze edit of ‘Emotional Rescue’. A stripped down version of the original, a journey of beautiful melodies and effortless combinations.
