TANTSUI is an electronic live project from Moscow and core artist of the NOPASSPORT label, also having released on Kindisch, Get Physical and Crosstown Rebels. As well as being a regular in Russia, the act plays in key places like Kater Blau (Berlin), Heart (Ibiza) and Off & On (Beirut), always bringing innovative performances filled with atmospheric deep house and dynamic drums to the party. This debut album showcases the artist’s fully realised sound across a real ten track trip and includes a new version of his main hit ‘Beautiful Day’ which got millions of listens across global streaming platforms. And that track opens the album with a deeply absorbing mood, filtered vocals and catchy pop melodies that stick in your head. The beautiful ‘Under Cover’ again filters and smears vocals over fresh, crisp beats to make for alluring, hypnotic grooves, and the excellent ‘The Wasted Sun’ is then a superbly intimate track with beautiful ambient sound design and barely-there rhythms bobbing along beneath more great vocal work that adds layers of tenderness. The bristling ‘Day of the End’ picks up the pace with kinetic, rubbery drums bringing a sense of energy as optimistic pads add a warm, diffuse light to the track and ‘Make It All’ features heat damaged chords drifting about over knocking beats. The likes of ‘Chance’ have minimal drums and skeletal percussion bringing off- grid funk ‘Stronger’ is another excellently languid groove coated in lo-fi static and with muted vocals, while lazy sunny day broken beats characterize ’96’, ‘Say It All’ is a hi fidelity and intricate track whilst ‘Around the River’ (Remake) closes out with more fresh drum work, watery pads and mellow melodies as well as heart- aching vocals. You can listen to the full premiere of ‘Day of the End’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy !

Release date : October 8th, 2018.
