Hailing from Barcelona and now residing in Bali, this latest Motek‘s release brings Cleave Martinez to the label for the first time with his fresh and jumping two track EP ‘No Way Back / Nakama’.

Bringing the party with his heavily bass grooved focused arrangements, the crisp production, uplifting stabs and vocal elements add excitement to the music as you dance away the hours at a pool party or into the night at your favourite club. Remixing on this release we welcome back DOTT and Robert Roman alongside duo Ninewire. DOTT has put his flavour to ‘Nakama’. Keeping the same track fundamentals, he has added a deepness to his track with a darker bass and stripped back rhythm sections. The pad and vocal parts have also been used to create eerie drones that add weight to the mix. Ninewire, in a real change to the original have brought their deep driving sound to ‘No Way Back’. A track that stalks it’s way through the arrangement with long drone textures, airy sweeps and atmospheres. Punchy low end bass/tom parts mixed with percussive hits provide strong groove to the piece that is finished off with a new xylophone styled lead. Robert Roman has also put his take to ‘No Way Back’ stripping it right down to a hypnotic groove whilst keeping the summer vibes of the original. Use of the original string synth adds air to the track that bases itself over bass and conga rhythms. The track is finished with morphing and moulding synth effects play.
