SBCLTR LA presents new concepts by Be Svendsen and Satori

Thomas Gaboury-Potvin
Events, North America, USA
7 November 2018

SBCLTR LA announces back-to-back high momentum shows in Fall 2018. Fresh off the magnificent roar of Carnival of Souls which saw the plays of Jonnie King, Brian Cid, Viken Arman, Matthias Meyer and Gorje Hewek & Izhevski, comes SBCLTR’s next series of events. On November 3rd, SBCLTR LA hosted the album release party of the cowboy techno, Be Svendsen. Event named after his long-awaited album, ‘Between a Smile and a Tear’, Be Svendsen’s global tour only saw three cities in the US, making LA’s stop one of the most prominent as he led the stage before the energetic duo, Britta Unders. German romance on and off the decks, Britta Arnold and Unders’ musical synchronicities made this tri-marriage of sounds an exciting ride into the late night hours.

Introducing for the first time in the States (only seen in Ibiza) is Satori’s newest special experience concept, MAKTUB. The mythical producer/DJ has capabilities of reaching unparalleled highs with hour and a half-only sets that he now requires an all-night set to deliver his genius. Encompassing his performance, Satori is presenting what he calls a very strong visual component, “to create a more cinematic experience, where visual art will mix seamlessly with sound, producing what should be a very extraordinary atmosphere.” On November 9th, SBCLTR LA produces the creation of MAKTUB and opening the night is SBCLTR resident Patrik Khach. Unannounced and only a mere whisper at the moment, LA can expect one more SBCLTR spectacle to complete this year’s musicals. New Year’s Eve is looking highly billed.
