Death On The Balcony return to All Day I Dream with introspective ‘Shift The Perspective’

All Day I Dream’s penultimate release this year comes label favorites Death On The Balcony. The Leeds duo have crafted a four-tracker (five on the vinyl release) called Shift The Perspective – due on December 7. This also happens to be the first full-fledged EP the pair have released all year, making it feel special amid a pool of one-off singles and remixes.

Shift The Perspective is a quintessential Death On The Balcony release, pairing together their hallmark, contemplative melodic touch with tribal-inspired percussion. This record is a particularly emotive one, with both its namesake opener and “Chance Encounters” containing melancholic progressions that tug at the heartstrings. A slice of mystery awaits in “Constancy.” Vocal clips carrying themes the EP draws its name from play a cameo across its entirety, adding a sense of cohesion and storytelling to the mix.

Death On The Balcony have been established in the deep and melodic house realm for over a decade now, working with a philosophy of timeless musicmaking. They’ve been top players on All Day I Dream since their 2015 debut on the imprint, while other notable achievements include an EP on Anjunadeep and multiple appearances at reputable events like City Fox, Do Not Sit, and more.
