Soul Clap launch their new club music focused House Of EFUNK imprint, with the duo’s first EP of 2019.  The label was born during Movement, Detroit on May 24th, 2014.  It materialized out of a confluence of forces orbiting around the earth-based musical duo known as Soul Clap. These forces include: the spirit of the rave, a collaboration with Dr. Funkenstein aka George Clinton, a love affair with the city of Detroit. But perhaps the greatest catalyst was a man known as The Hourchild, most likely because he somehow managed to always be right on time.

The last five years have seen the House Of EFUNK grow into one of Movement’s most renowned afterparties. An annual 12 plus hour tour-de-force of DJs and live performances that showcases the full spectrum of Soul Clap’s eclectic taste and musical curation, which has now expanded to include Miami and New York.  Now, the House Of EFUNK is undergoing a metamorphosis into a mothership. Blasting off as a record label and international tour. House Of EFUNK Records is a new galaxy for Soul Clap and likeminded artists to explore club music with the EFUNK approach.

This first release is two party tested instrumentals filled with that signature electronic funk, ready to work any freaky dancefloor! With two distinct moods, these tracks draw from a range of influences. On the A-Side, “Jupiter Crush” starts in Detroit and blasts into our solar system for a ride around the moons of the gas planet, sound tracked by the sounds of Roland’s Jupiter 8, over a broken-beat house groove. Then on the B-Side  “Natural Bliss” brings us back to earth, inspired by M.A.W. and the deep house sounds of New York and New Jersey, with warm percussion setting an easy mood, before evolving into a feel-good, house joint. You can listen to the full premiere of Jupiter Crush exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
