Fur Coat‘s dynamic imprint Oddity puts forward its second release of 2019 in the form of the ‘Talisman EP’. The exciting new talents of duo Dyzen, joined by Vomee, have been invited on board to exhibit their sound. The package delivers three original melodic techno offerings alongside an imposing remix from the label founders themselves.
The Dyzen project was born in Puglia (Italy) in 2017, formed of Francesco Perrone and Nicola Disabato the duo’s sound is characterised by a keen attention to detail resulting in creations rooted in soundscapes, but with a techno structure and ranging into melodic, progressive styles. The pair have enjoyed support form the likes of Tale Of Us, Mind Against, Adriatique, Fideles, Denis Horvat, Agents Of Time and more…
Their sound is clearly displayed in the the title track of the EP ‘Talisman’. A heavy hitting club track, built for the dance floor and defined by an utterly infectious synth line.
Following the lead is the remix by label bosses Fur Coat, an equally commanding track but a slightly moodier affair, built for the darker moments.
Featuring alongside Dyzen for the next instalment ‘Virgo’ is Vomee. A project masterminded by fellow Italian Gianluca De Girolamo, who aims to mould melodic elements into electro and techno beats. A pulsating groove and key moments of suspense define this colossal track.
‘Discovery’ the final offering from Dyzen closes out the EP in a striking fashion. A tight undulating groove paired with a complex developing synth line provides an on target end to the package.
