When We Dip | Premiere: Rony Seikaly gets remix treatment by Nick Curly

Rony Seikaly is a former NBA player turned new school house tastemaker. After a standout 2019 he is quick out of the blocks in 2020 with a new EP on his STRIDE label that comes with a remix from tech titan Nick Curly.

Set My Body opens up with a nice loose jumble of drums and warm bass that builds in ever bigger strokes below. Vocal yelps bring some colour and the whole thing will get the floor nicely on its toes. Long time innovator and 8Bit label boss, as well as Trust party promoter Nick Curly then comes correct with a loopy, hypnotic tune that is dark, driving and all consuming. Unity from Rony then closes out the EP with some blissed out synth work and groovy drums, lush pads and clever vocal samples that all sooth the mind, body and soul.
