The eleventh release from Fur Coat’s Oddity Records takes us right to the roots of what the duo started the imprint for… providing a platform for the most exciting names in Techno. UK Producer and DJ Oliver Winters puts forward his “Bending Light” EP as his first outing on Oddity. Consisting of four original works and, the EP delivers a distinguished collection of tracks. Inspired by cinematic soundscapes, Olivers melodies will move you. His sounds are deep and melodic, infused with a touch of melancholy.

“Bending Light” opens the package and the title track definitely delivers. It’s a driving piece, but its characterised by some highly emotional synth lines which build to a truly atmospheric moment at their peak. It’s a track ideal for changing the vibe and injecting feeling into the mix.

The second original “Elixir” is a more functional affair. Whilst still outlined with beautiful melodic progressions, its a higher tempo record, built for driving the club forward. This leads convincingly into “Earthbound” Olivers fourth original piece on the EP. Pairing nicely with the previous track it’s strong drum programming keep the pressure pumping.

Rounding off the EP is “Catharsis”, another example where Oliver exhibits his skills with melody, producing a finely formed club track, defined by atmospheric moments. Pairing with this is Black Peter’s remix of the same track. A much darker and deeper offering, built for tougher moments.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Elixir’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
