Japan-based producer Nepotek returns to his Plus Future Records for ‘Magnum’, the label’s second release, featuring remixes by YokoO, Powel, and Kaito (aka Hiroshi Watanabe).

The British artist is known for traversing between Japan and the UK, performing at venues like fabric, Lion & Lamb, and Zubar, not to mention guest appearances for Hoxton FM, Bloop London Radio, and Noods Radio. Having just launched Plus Future Records, the Shibuya-based producer reappears with another stripped-back release following his ‘Sapphire’ EP, which includes a remix by Jay Tripwire, that picked up support from Andrey Pushkarev, Frazer Campbell and Annie Errez.

With its precision kicks, murky atmospherics and metallic nuances, ‘Magnum’ is a subterranean cut with stunningly layered synths designed to mesmerise its listeners. First up on remix duties is All Day I Dream regular YokoO’s Defragmentation version. His eagerly-awaited first remix after a recent hiatus, the France-born’s take on ‘Magnum’ is a driving cut with a medley of contrasting yet smoothly blended components exemplary of his knack for compelling sound design.

Berlin’s melodic house extraordinaire Powel is next with his airy remix which has been picking up early support from All Day I Dream artists like Hermanez: a production that combines sultry bass with twinkling melodies and is perfectly geared for sunsets. Tying everything together, renowned Japanese producer Hiroshi Watanabe adopts his Kaito guise for a scintillating reinterpretation, slowing down the tempo whilst building upon the original’s depth with soulful piano keys and squelchy effects.

You can now listen to the full premiere of YokoO‘s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
