Belgium’s Elypsia returns mid November with a remix package of Detroit house maestro Rick Wade’s ‘Timeless’, featuring interpretations from Tresilo, Pezzner and Vintage Future. Following the release of the ‘Timeless’ EP back in July of 2017 by Rick, Elypsia revisits this collection of tracks with some fresh takes for 2020.

Hailing from Detroit, Wade has long been a respected figure in the deep house scene, most notably know for delivering jazz infused takes on the genre via his influential Harmonie Park imprint amongst many others.

Up first on remix duties is Tresilo, the collaborative guise of Ben Long, Esteban Adame & Oliver Way. The trio deliver a raw house twist on ‘The Way I Am’ via gritty analogue drums, a wandering acid-tinged synth line, tension building strings and the original’s airy atmospherics. Pezzner’s ‘CR2 Remix’ follows next, laying down a heavily swung drum groove, choppy bass hits, string stabs and hazy pads, adding his own twist to the classic Rick Wade signature style.

Up next is the Vintage Future Remix of ‘Planet Deep’, embracing the name of the track the Underground Resistance regular opts for hypnotic textures, winding sub bass tones, modulating percussion and low slung drums. A second Pezzner remix of ‘Academy’ then wraps things up, this time round delving deeper with more stripped-back percussion while bringing ethereal pads, keys and hypnotic leads into focus.

You can now listen to the full premiere of Pezzner’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!

Release Date: November 13th, 2020.
