Simina Grigoriu welcomes Italian artists Ingrid and Nico Cabeza to her label Kuukou Records for a two-track collaborative EP with dark atmosphere and intense energy. This is the second time Ingrid and Nico Cabeza have collaborated following their debut release on Miles From Mars that came out earlier this year, but they are also successful solo artists.

Nico Cabeza has featured on labels ranging from Christian Smith’s Tronic to Monika Kruse’s Terminal M, and Ingrid is a popular DJ who has played many of Europe’s top events. Ingrid has been dipping her toe into the world of production, and after making her first release in 2018 has already built up an impressive back catalogue. Nico Cabeza is also an accomplished DJ who now living in Berlin, has played many of the city’s hot spots.

‘Want A Rave’ has eerie pads and pitch bent synths that combine perfectly with the thrashing percussion, sensual vocal sample and flashes of acid. Explosive and full of suspense, this twisted cut of peak time techno has everything needed to whip people into a frenzy.

Next up is ‘Beirut 03’ which has gritty synth stabs and a pulsating bassline combined with the ferocity of a thumping kick drum. Switching up the tempo in the breakdown, it spins out to an old school vibe before slamming back in with added vigour.
