Lossless present their final release in this crazy year that goes by the name 2020. Anyhow let’s dive into the music and see what Manchester’s Jozef K has to offer with his LOSSLESS LL1225.

Each of the 3 originals on the EP showcasing what Jozef worked so hard for over the last 10 years crafting his stripped-down, hypnotic and analog style. Referring to what he says about the release, these tracks do feel like a true example of what he really wanted to make and express with his music.

The EP title track builds around a bubbling sequence which grows the track over time and emerges into a rather stripped yet very effect breakdown. The sequence would be nothing without the cozy sustained bass notes, the warm synth strings and atmospheres building a solid fundament for the track and it’s sparse drum arrangement. The second track ‘Flow’ builds around an arpeggiated synth-line, leaves some of the aforementioned ingredients aways and strips it even more which doesn’t mean it’s less effective in any way. As a third track Mexican duo Zombies In Miami is invited to spice up ‘Streams Of Arpsciousness’ which they definitely did with their ballsy interpretation of the original here. The final track is an atmospheric affair which could almost make up a new genre Ambient Acid. A washed out Acid-line on top of warm synth chords and long-decayed kicks.

‘’It’s taken me over 10 years to learn how to make the kind of tunes I always wanted to make – this record feels like one of the first true examples of that.. so yeah, I hope people like it or my twenties have basically been a colossal waste of time‘’ – Jozef K

You can now listen to the full premiere of the title track ‘Streams of Arpsciousness’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
