“Remixes for us are about interpretation. Taking elements, sounds or meanings and developing, twisting and reimagining them, but without thinking too much about it”, write’s Sandrino. “Each time it’s a different process for us”, continues Frankey. “There was no intention to change the emotions or feelings of this track, it’s based on a musical instinct. Sometimes we try and limit ourselves by using less of an original track.”

Whatever the intention, Frankey & Sandrino are clearly not resting on their laurels during this unwelcome hiatus from the DJ booth, priming themselves for a return that is sure to be laden with an arsenal of new dancefloor-ready material which will see the light of day on various labels throughout 2021 as well as a their own imprint, Sum Over Histories.
