After releasing their debut VA ‘Seasons Vol. 1 – Summer’, London-based label, Everything Will Be OK, are now adding another seasonal slice of magic to their catalogue with the ‘Winter’ compilation. Featuring on the VA is Mass Digital, who has graced the likes of All Day I Dream, TrybesOf and Akbal Music with his mystical melodies and hypnotic grooves.

His debut track, ‘Reverie’, on the EWBO imprint is a melodic masterpiece, with a perfect blend of rolling percussions and rhythmic basslines, which will keep you guessing throughout.

We spoke with Mass Digital earlier this week to find out more about his story, his debut release on the EWBO imprint, and loads more.

WWD: Boris, thanks for joining us today, and a huge congrats on all the success you’ve seen, you’ve had quite the year haven’t you?!

Yeah, thanks for invitation and these kind words. This year was super productive, strange and a game changer for me. Some nice vibes were released in the past few months.

WWD: How is life for you at the moment? As crazy as everyone else’s, or are you spending more time in the studio than ever?

My life is very simple and I love to keep it that way. Studio sessions everyday (except on weekends), hanging out with close friends and riding my bicycles (I love it ! ).

WWD: ‘Reverie’ is an incredible piece full of melodies and colour, is this what we can expect from you with your upcoming releases?

’Reverie’ is a track that is very close to my heart, I think it’s definitely one of my favorites so far. It was a project that I made only a few months ago, and at first didnt like how it came out, but gave it another chance and this is a final result  I’m definitely loving this dreamy vibe at the moment, full of melodies and harmonies.

WWD: Where do you normally draw your inspiration from and how do you approach your productions?

My inspiration is love. Its all about emotions, people, us. I’m a melody guy, not that much into drums, but trying my best  Usually starting new music with piano chords and melodies, then after that the groove comes.

WWD: You have a string of beautiful releases on some amazing labels, is there any chance of an album in the near future?

Hmm, yeah, super proud to be part of these amazing record labels, and that is also a big creativity boost for me too. I was thinking about an album maybe next year, everything is possible. Music production and everything that comes with it, it’s so addictive.

WWD: We really appreciate you joining us, do you have any final words you want to share with our readers?

It was a pleasure. I see many new names in the music industry, young people, hungry for instant success and major record labels. Just work hard, try to stand out from the crowd, be unique and ride your bike 😀
