It’s rare to find a duo with as much live chemistry and raw creativity as GNTN, who have contributed to the German techno scene since their formative years. Known for their warm basslines and the complexity and depth of their melodies, the young duo made a name for themselves early by releasing some of the most influential underground labels like Filth On Acid and Stil Vor Talent while still in school.
As their music savvy and creative drive continues to grow along with their ever-expanding repertoire, GNTN has seen newfound support from US staples like Yoshitoshi and Desert Hearts Black. With the launch of their new label, ‘Perspectives’ leading them deeper into the realm of creative control and curation, the duo is proving they are a force to be reckoned with in the European underground and beyond.
GNTN are back with a new single, ‘Through The Silence (feat. Eleonora)’ as the second release from their brand new label, Perspectives. The single by the Cologne-based duo is an ethereal synth-driven journey featuring haunting vocals from Berlin-based Eleonora. Thematically, ‘Through The Silence’ is a testament to the universality of longing through isolation – a sentiment made even more poignant through the year of the global pandemic, though not directly alluding to it, making it both timely and timeless.
The Perspectives label, which launched last September, is at its core an experiment in creation and curation and aims to be a new home for up-and-coming melodic techno, based on their mix series of the same name.
