The Mekanism links with Sad Money for a new release on the vital Do Not Sleep label that comes with a fantastic remix from Jesse Maas, and one other original.

The Mekanism is a production maestro with many tricks up his sleeves. The Frenchman hails from Paris and is a regular on vital labels like 20/20 Vision, Moan Recordings, Robsoul, Deeperfect and Play It Say It, and now he adds the always edgy and upfront Do Not Sleep to that list.

‘Julio’s Mayhem’ opens up with jacking beats and rubbery bass. The claps are fresh and the acid lines bring real off grid mischief. Add in some dark vocals and you have a real winner. Jesse Maas then flips it into a slinky, trippy house cut for the heads, set to cause damage on any dancefloor.

Last up, ‘Just A Feeling’ then gets funky with a rugged bass riff and popping drums. It’s a wild ride through loose, physical grooves that are designed to light up the floor.
