We’ve had Labyrinth Records on our radar for a good few months now. 

Regular readers will remember us shining a light on young French talent Cedric Sheva back in May, the rising artist who inaugurated the label’s discography with Tour D’Velo. Now we look to one of the more recent releases on the imprint, this time courtesy of Innervisions regular Alex Medina who brings us AlgoRhytm.

The six-minute number acts as the second single to be released ahead of the full EP in December. It perfectly embodies the raw and emotive sound with which Medina has become best known, as gentle key rolls meander into whispering kick-hat combos throughout. 

Perhaps most striking though is the feat Labyrinth Records have achieved: securing such an established artist for only their fourth release marks a major milestone for the imprint. With the full EP set to drop next month and plenty more in the pipeline, the future certainly shines bright for Labyrinth.
