For their first release of 2022, Fur Coat and his label Oddity welcome Amsterdam-based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated on Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP ‘Moons & Stars’ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track ‘Might Be Love’ featuring Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the FX lead vocal, creating a super club piece. Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers, and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex’s signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in ‘Don’t Move’ where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies. To close the EP we have ‘Searching’ which is also another dancefloor-oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on any set. And last but not least, ‘Away from It’ is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

You can now listen to the lead track ‘Might Be Love’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
