David Hohme’s Where The Heart Is Records starts the year off swinging with one of the strongest releases in the label’s history. Industry veterans Gai Barone and D-Nox are debuting their collaborative Two of a Kind project with David Hohme & Will Vance, and DJ Zombi on remix duties, the latter of which we are lucky enough to premiere on When We Dip.

Hailing from Tel Aviv, DJ Zombi is no stranger to lush atmospheres and pulsing grooves, both of which are left on full display as he flips the rather calm and tranquil stems of the original into a grooving and club-friendly tune. The soaring piano lines create the foundation upon which has the space to develop. The iconic vocal shots and other ear candy elements spice up every bar, and carry the track to the conclusion. Through Zombi’s tasteful approach and masterful taste, a truly unique spin is placed on an already breathtaking track.

Having actively toured for the better part of two decades, Zombi walks the line of soft listenability and crowd-pleasing energy. This delicate art has been catching more attention now than ever, having recently landed on labels such as Anjunadeep and others, this latest release on David Hohme’s Where The Heart Is Records brings a validating start to the new year for Zombi.
