Weird Island Grooves proudly presents its 1st release with a stellar 5 track EP written by Pfreud that will set the table for the upcoming journey into sound and electronic music. Surfing on deep space waves in tune with frequencies from beyond. Pfreud packs this leftfield ep with not-so-down downtempo organic breaks n beats to tracky and funky grooves. All mixed up with sequences from his analog synth artillery. This great analog-sounding EP is sure to please any electronic music enthusiast looking for a journey into sound and any DJ seeking originality to groove or light a fire on the floor.

Originally from Montreal, DJ Pfreud has been active for almost 30 years on the Montreal electronic music scene. His style is a concentrated flavour of house, electro and neo-disco. Pfreud was in high demand during the early golden rave days in the 90s and had a residency in renowned clubs such as Tiga’s Montreal legendary Club Sona in late ’90s and early 2000. He shared the decks with, amongst others,Green Velvet, Carl Cox, Misstress Barbara, Tiga, Felix Da Housecat and Darren Emerson (Underworld).

More recently, he’s been keeping busy exploring in studio with his Hoopalaï and Thee FFF projects with Lebaron and Felix Da Housecat (Get Physical, Kindisch, Victims Music Company, Poésie Angulaire). Stay tuned.
