Hailing from Marseille, France, Matt Sassari has made quite an impressive name for himself in his short-tenured career. The techno and house virtuoso displays great production prowess through each unique release, turning heads from the likes of Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, and more industry giants. The rising star returns to There Is A Light Records once more for ‘Goi,’ available on Friday, February 18th. ‘Goi’ features an accompanying remix from Ramon Tapia in its release package.

Matt Sassari’s avant-garde take on techno has catapulted the artist into stardom. The creative rounded out his 2021 with the widely celebrated release of his take on Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland’s ‘Give It To Me.’ His remix was hailed as one of Magnetic Magazine’s top 15 tech house tracks. Now, Sassari returns to There Is A Light for ‘Goi,’ a driving tech house offering best suited for hazy dance floors. Pairing an infectious kick with additional compelling percussive elements, ‘Goi’ is industrial tech house at its finest. The 6-minute ride sees Sassari combine a familiar vocal sample with robotically spliced ‘Goi’ chops, propelling the track from its first note until its very last. ‘Goi’ additionally features an accompanying remix from Ramon Tapia, who adds electro-swathed flare to the already exciting track.

“I produced ‘Goi’ a couple of weeks after the first lockdown here in France,” explains Matt Sassari on his new single. “It was an uncertain time – full of stress and anxiety – but in a strange way, I found it very inspiring. ‘Goi’ means many things to me; I started to produce the track with a soulful vocal, adding punching bass and industrial noise with a classic touch of Sassari.”

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Goi’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
