An imprint and collective at the centre of the West Coast’s ever-expanding house scene, releasing material from Kevin Knapp, Justin Martin, SHADED, Justin Jay and more, Desert Hearts Records continue to grow, evolve and build as a label championed across the globe. Fresh from a big start to the year following the annual Family & Friends V/A, February sees label founder Mikey Lion partner alongside Berlin-based DJ, producer, and imprint regular Andreas Henneberg for the first time to deliver two bumping productions across their ‘Surfliner’ EP.

Combining warped vocals and punchy drums with epic, impactful synths, ‘Surfliner’ fuses powerful sonics with playful and lighter tones to welcome an energy-charged effort, before venturing into more paired back territories across ‘The Tortilla Rap’ as the duo work skittering percussion, slinking bass and spiralling leads.
