Few artists have stripes as strong as Dino Lenny. Call him a soldier. Call him a stone cold OG. Call him one of the most consistent artists in house and techno since his debut release in 1991. Or simply call up your friends because he’s back on the iconic Bedrock imprint with a delicious homage to the foundations. It’s time for ‘I Wanna Go Back’…

Looking back to move forward, here we find Dino in timeless acid house mode. Think Mr Fingers, Chicago and Traxx. All 909s and Juno-60s, Dino captures the essence and innocence of where it all began without re-treading old ground unnecessarily. Pure machine soul using minimal ingredients, it still sounds every bit as future as it back in the days when Dino first cut his teeth.

Meanwhile on the remix, Bedrock label bossman John Digweed and long-time production sparring partner Nick Muir link-up once again for a more contemporary twist on Dino’s original. Maintaining that silky, gliding, swooning sensation in the chords and that rubber ball bounce to the bassline, they gently weave in darker layers of rolling, rhythmic elements and sweeping textures for extra dancefloor immersion.

You can now listen to the full premiere of John Digweed & Nick Muir’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy.
