BBC Radio One legend Pete Tong and Paul Rogers remix leading African track of 2021, ‘Osama’

23 August 2022

Hot off the back of 7 South African Music Award nominations, South African artist Zakes Bantwini and his collaborator, Kasango receive a stellar Afro House remix of the leading track off of his Ghetto King album, Osama, by none other than Pete Tong and Paul Rogers that will be out on Paradise Sound System.

With over 10 million streams to date and rising as well as support from industry leaders, radio stations and publications around the world, Osama was undoubtedly one of the key tracks of 2021 that flooded the dancefloors with uplifting nostalgia and empathic emotion.

After he fell in love with the original and supported it massively on his BBC Radio 1 show, Pete Tong alongside Paul Rogers flip the original with a dancefloor-edge, whilst maintaining the original’s essence, groove, and ease of listening, whilst adding Pete Tong and Paul Roger’s classic sense of space and arrangement that will revitalize the original for time to come.
