The Mason Collective return to their highly regarded imprint Whippin with a two-tracker titled ‘Down Like That’ with 2 killer cuts inspired for the dance floor.

The Manchester-based trio has enjoyed a fast-rising trajectory since they joined forces back in 2016, with their breakthrough coming in 2018 as they went on to perform at the UK’s best venues and festivals including Creamfields, Parklife, WHP, Canal Mills and Studio 338. Since then they have been traveling around the globe pushing their stripped-back, techy-edged sound, delivering high voltage sets at venues such as DC10 and Hi Ibiza, the BPM Festival Costa Rica and Miami, The Brooklyn Mirage, and many more. Their productions have seen them release on a selection of the most cutting-edge labels in the scene, Say It Play it, Desolat, Hot Trax, Tamango, and of course their own imprint, Whippin.

For their latest offering on their own imprint, TMC deliver a slick and powerful 2 tracker, with the lead and title track ‘Down Like That’ jumping in with 80’s toms and snares from the get go making this stand strong and proud from just hearing the beats. The trio adds in some well worked and chopped vocal cuts, which fall into the groove of the beats and sit perfectly on top of the incessant rolling bass groove making this a killer groove for people to just close their eyes and get on down.

On the flipside we have ‘Leave Me Alone’ where TMC move back into their more trademark stripped minimal tech groove. With its low slung bass line purring and pushing from the start, it combines perfectly with the lazy swing on the beats, which delivers a sleazy yet sexy groove for everyone to get on down to. Once again the Mason Collective and Whippin deliver the goods for a good time on the dance floor.
