Spektre’s record label Respekt welcomes the return of Shay De Castro who drops two new tantalising techno tracks.

Shay De Castro last featured on Respekt in 2020 when she featured on a various artist release and this time she is back with a full-throttle solo EP in her usual peak time style.

She has also dropped tracks on other scene-leading techno imprints ranging from Spartaque’s Codex to Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings and her music has been supported in DJ sets by the likes of Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens and Richie Hawtin.

Still and up and coming talent, Shay De Castro is already making a name for herself on the international scene, playing DJ gigs everywhere from Holland to Guatemala.

This latest release is another fine example of her style, which blends driving percussion and powerful synth lines with club-shaking bass frequencies.

‘The Hills Devise’ opens the release with heavy bass stabs, dark atmospherics and fizzing high-end percussion that’s underpinned by a pounding kick drum. ‘Don’t Stop Now’ blends twisted euphoria with a pulsating bassline and dramatic effects that tear out the speaker.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘The Hills Devise’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
