Sasha’s collaborations with Lake Turner and with Knives Out complete his ‘TEN’ compilation project; the eagerly awaited record with two brand new tracks drops in full on October 7th.

For months, the LNOE label boss has teased us with brilliant releases from these ten special collaborations to celebrate a decade of standout music, accompanying each with a global showcase. Now fans can get the compilation in its entirety, and a first earful of two new release day exclusives.

Lake Turner

In Sasha & Lake Turner’s ‘Nalo’, insistent high-pitched percussion, bounding bass and speedy beat counterpointed by fragments of chopped synth notes and ethereal quasi-vocal strains, creating a skull-drilling, brain-invading compulsive dance cut. A LNOE debut (but not his last…) for Lake Turner, of post-punk and indie bands Great Eskimo Hoax and Trophy Wife and long-time collaborator of Foals’ Yannis Philippakis, whose lush, ambient electronica has been releasing on Kompakt, notably his ‘Videosphere’ LP.

Sasha & Knives Out’s ‘Hoodie Alan’ has a dystopian industrial vibe, with distorted bass riff, rattling drums, and robotic voices breaking through like messages from long lost planets, the tension and speed continually building to frenetic brilliance.

The full ‘TEN’ LP is a melange of fresh-out-the-studio cuts (‘Burnt Letters’ with lau.ra, ‘Dry & High’ with Qrion), takes on timeless electronic classics or slow-burners (Photek’s ‘Aviator’, and the epic ‘Track 10’ six years in the brewing). Sasha’s chosen collaborators include established names like Locked Groove (Hotflush) and Alex Banks (Monkeytown, Ninja Tune), emerging talents Mr. Sosa and Sentre, plus wild cards like indie singer Pumarosa, Knives Out and Lake Turner.

‘I have so much respect for these artists who’ve all inspired me in some way and I’m really into their music, so picking them was easy,’ Sasha says. ‘It was such an amazing feeling when they all said yes. It’s been a really fun project to put together.’
