When We Dip | Erdi Irmak debuts on SOL with two track ambient release 'Outcast'

Erdi Irmak debuts on SOL with the sublime ‘Outcast’ EP. Irmak’s prowess as a master of melodies and groove is well known with numerous appearances on the likes of Tale & Tone, Hoomidaas, XYZ and Where The Heart is.

The ‘Outcast’ EP sees the Istanbul native delve deeper into the ambient world. The title track is a richly textured and atmospheric cut. Distant strings and soft synth-work set the scene almost immediately as a hypnotic melodic line rides front and centre. Delicate, emotive keys coat the surface, elevating the track into an irresistibly entrancing experience.

‘Swamp City’ takes a darker turn. It conjures up a thrilling atmosphere with wavering synth-work and menacing arpeggiators. The harrowing feel is contrasted impeccably by a light melody that emergences once more with a hypnotic repetition.
