The scenic beauty of Mother Nature was brought to life with electrifying beats by SimbaSōl at the foot of the roaring Plaisance waterfalls in Saint-Malo Quebec. Presented by When We Dip, the recording took place at sunrise on March 9th, 2023. This was a unique celebration of music and the Canadian outdoors.

The 1 hour and 11 minute journey gave SimbaSōl the creative space to showcase the full breadth of his current productions. The performance included a ride in melodic house & techno with flares of future disco as the sun came piercing over the hills.

“There’s something magical about experiencing music in nature. The loud moving sounds of the water behind added a dope dimension to the experience. Setting up all this tech in the dark and cold night, to then sharing my music with the trees was a lot fun! The production team from New Aura were a blast to work with.“

Simba also caught up with us about his set-up for the performance:

“This was my first time bringing live elements out of the studio and into the real world so to speak. It is a realm of endless creative possibilities, having access to modulate synths in real time or add new sounds to tracks from the sampler. I guess my hybrid setup will morph and change over the years, but it’s a fun avenue that I intend to dive deeper and deeper into no doubt.”
