Allies for Everyone lands back on ICONYC with the third single release from his number-one hit album. The New York producer continues to be one of the top-tier melodic house artists with continued support from the who-is-who of the electronic underground.
For ‘Golden’ Allies teamed up with German virtuoso Miyagi. They showcase their creative best with a driving, hypnotic production that’s nicely dialed in. Smooth beats and a superb groove anchor the piece, as vibrant tones and spacey effects adorn the framework accompanied by Brian’s stunning vocal work. The astral charm of ‘Golden’ quickly saturates your pleasure centers, before melting down to a sonorous reservoir as the beats drop for a storming finale.
On remix duty we welcome none other than Italian maestro Luca Bacchetti, who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, delivers an irresistible remix that sets things off nicely with the moody vibes setting the tone. He roams effortlessly through melodic inspired vibes, while the emotional chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation while the vocal zooms in and out for maximum effect. Luca takes it up a notch by adding an extra layer of depth, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark sound elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. His work deserves to be branded master class ‘essential’ in any sense of the word.
The second interpretation comes from label debutants and all-round top guys Kollektiv Ost. The Berlin-based duo follows excellent releases on Ritter Butzke, Dantze, 3000 Grad and Katermukke with a brilliant interpretation here. Powerful, compelling and acutely mysterious, its melodic qualities and richly textured groove make for a lovely first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs and vocal edits steal the air, before a one-minute break takes you further into a haze of driving audio hysteria, perfectly setting up a fantastic grand finale. A brilliant remix from Kollektiv Ost that’s likely destined for the sets of the big boy brigade. Highly recommended stuff from the Kollektiv Ost boys.
