The Martinez Brothers revisit and spotlight Salomé Le Chat’s excellent Cuttin’ Headz debut as they invite Detroit icon DJ Minx and surging Brazilian Classmatic to remix her ‘Time To Move’ EP.

Fostering a growing global family of artists and creatives, The Martinez Brothers and their ever-impressing Cuttin’ Headz imprint have gone from strength to strength, undoubtedly now sitting as the go-to label when it comes to the slick, impactful style of house music the Bronx legends have become so well known for. An exciting member of that family is French talent Salomé Le Chat, whose emergence onto the global house realm has come with serious interest and intrigue worldwide, alongside support from the scene’s biggest names. Revisiting her label debut, The Cuttin’ Headz bosses now invite Detroit’s ‘First Lady Of Wax’ and Motor City legend DJ Minx, and Organic Pieces head honcho Classmatic – who returns to the label following 2022’s ‘Catuca’ – to serve up two commanding and impressive interpretations of her ‘Time To Move’ EP.

Delivering a groove-heavy yet no-nonsense take on ‘Time To Move’, Classmatic draws for crisp metallic percussion, swirling synth lines and a snaking bassline to accent Salomé’s vibrant vocals and ensure things head into peak-time territories. An expert in deeper, techno-leaning house sounds, DJ Minx’s remix is a classy and heady concoction of sounds as dubby chords and crisp drums for a snaking late-night trip.

You can now listen to the full premiere of Classmatic’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
