Bushwacka! and Denney join forces for a new collaborative package on Will Saul’s Aus Music.

Underground innovator Bushwacka! was there at the birth of acid house and is renowned for laying down the blueprint of the first wave of tech house and its breakbeat offshoots, as well as critically acclaimed work alongside Layo Paskin as Layo & Bushwacka!. North England’s Denney has been entrenched in the house scene over the last decade, ever since his first release on Hot Creations ‘Ultraviolet’ became a chart-topping hit. Now, the pair link up on Aus Music for the first time for their ‘Our House’ EP.

The title track ‘Our House’ is a heady workout with soulful lyrics from house vocal legend Chuck Roberts, welcoming dancers in over a driving and dynamic groove. The old-school bass offers a touch of class while the heavenly synth work glows with late-night energy, and soft acid lines take things up a notch. Then comes ‘Daydreamer’, a forward-thinking house record with nimble bass and blissed-out chords on a hypnotic trip. Sci-fi melodies add layers of cosmic depth to a track that is sure to lock in and zone out the floor. Lastly, a stripped-back dub version of ‘Our House’ rounds out a stellar outing from two masters at work.
