Matt Sassari returns to Adam Beyer’s label Truesoul for his first release on the label in four years, while Dutch producer BLR makes his debut with this collaborative project. The pair linked up during the course of 2023 and found a special musical synergy between their respective styles, with a foot in rolling techno and peak-time house alike.

This striking blend is on impressive display in ‘The Incident’, a dynamic cut that brings atmosphere in spades, led by a spoken world sample, a crunchy bottom end and tight drum work. This is a proper vibe bringer. ‘Stuck In’ features French artist and composer Kid Randie and doesn’t pull a punch, either. Expect a wonky after hours cut made with plenty of understated trippy energy, while an ominous synth line slides in and out building tension throughout. Expect more from this newly minted collaborative team on Truesoul soon.
