The long-awaited tenth release from Rewarewa has finally arrived. As befits an anniversary edition, the label has prepared something special. The two-track material, produced by Roman Reznik, better known under his moniker Romrez, represents a new chapter in the label’s sound and marks its future direction.

The opening piece, ‘Interconnected,’  introduces an audio aesthetic blending seemingly incompatible elements into a coherent whole. From funky guitars and oriental harmonies to electro basslines, this track seamlessly merges old and new, chaos and order.  Equally powerful is ‘Quadrophobia,’ the second track of the release. Reznik continues to impress by blending psychedelia, ethnic elements, contemporary studio techniques, and a hypnotic arrangement, breaking down musical barriers in almost six minutes. This novel approach combines everything into an expressive form that, despite the casual progression of abstract sound, appears remarkably complex upon detailed analysis.

In conclusion, Rewarewa’s tenth release, heralds a bold new direction, promising an exciting evolution in the label’s sound.
