Holy remixology, Batman!

Sometimes, vocal tracks just cut that bit deeper and at Selador, they’ve been making quite a splash lately.

‘Hold On’ saw Dave resurrecting a personal favourite from 1991 that he’d been longing to bring to a new, wider audience.

The jury’s verdict was both quick and unanimous. ‘Absolutely amazing!’ said Yulia Niko…’Monster!’ reasoned Just Her…’Dope!’, surmised Sam Divine…for Danny Howells, it was ‘killer work’ and Anthony Pappa declared it a ‘Big Tune.’ In the proverbial nutshell, Five Star Reviews were order of the day.

A vocal as powerful as Shola provides here does, of course, lend itself to remixes, and so the label returns with a couple of belters for your delectation and delight – both pure peak time business.

AIKON’s revision is hypnotic from the off, cruising along at a rate of knots, whilst Shola rides the riff like a seasoned pro and the central sonic motif gnaws into yer cerebrum.

Denney’s re-rub meanwhile twists, turns, and teases. The foot only briefly easing off the gas to allow Shola to take centre stage with gusto, before building back up to a glorious crescendo.

Things ARE gonna change, nothing stays the same, hold on, let’s make a change!
