Electronic music download store Volumo is launching a branded series of exclusive releases featuring influential House and Techno producers from the global scene. The series opens with a two-track release from Ukrainian producer iO (Mulen) titled ‘VOL#001.’

Anton Severynenko (VOLUMO): “We’ve been following iO for a long time and have always been impressed by the quality of his production and his groove craftsmanship.’’ Over the past fifteen years of his career, iO (Mulen) has unveiled releases on Apollonia, Cecille, Infuse, Rawax and of course his own label, Mulen Records, Whiteloops, Blackloops, and Hoarder among others.

‘Pirston’ leads the release and sees iO lay down his signature groove driven house style. A sturdy, dynamic rhythm lays the foundations for the hypnotic groove while oscillating acid licks, fluttering stab sequences, bouncy sub bass tones and ethereal pad textures intricately ebb and flow amongst one another throughout the compositions six and a half minute duration.

‘Inertia’ follows and shifts gear into darker territory via murky synth swells, twitchy 303 lines, psychedelic vocal chants and fm chimes, all underpinned by a bumpy, shuffled rhythm section.
