It’s been 18 years since Jim Rivers catapulted into the limelight with his hit debut single ‘Restore,’ going on to build an enviable career that has seen him play worldwide and grow an impressive catalogue of releases on numerous high profile labels.

‘Calycanthus’ is another sure fire winner- an assured and atmospheric track that touches on progressive and trance styles, but ultimately remains a tough, dance floor filler that will work in a myriad of sets and circumstances.

As a sign of the levels he’s working at, Rivers calls in a remix from the legend Bushwacka! to provide a new perspective on the track, amping up the acidic bass and firing percussion to create a new vibe out of the same elements.

Last up is ‘Yucca’ – a slick and polished mid-tempo groover that develops an irresistible groove supported by some judicious drops.
