Ben Böhmer drops shimmering collaboration with Lykke Li and next single off his forthcoming album ‘Hiding’

Ben Böhmer and Lykke Li, two award-winning musicians who have carved out their own distinct lanes in music, deliver a shimmering collaboration with ‘Hiding,’ the second single on Böhmer’s studio album, ‘Bloom,’ out on 27th September on Ninja Tune.

An immaculate meeting point between indie, pop, and electronica, ‘Hiding’ is flooded with Ben’s lush pads and triumphant melodies, while Lykke Li’s iconic vocals wash over crisp breakbeats. “It’s a song that I’ve always wanted to write,” Ben remarks on the new release. The single continues to forge Ben’s path beyond the pre-fabricated boxes that he’s been put into as an artist, earning the trust of indie royalty such as Lykke Li. A rare feature, ‘Hiding’ is her first original collaboration since 2019.

Throughout her 20+ year career, Lykke Li has worked with artists such as Drake, Skrillex, and Mark Ronson, who once called her the “high priestess of heartbreak and sadness” and collaborated with her in 2023 for a Gucci soundtrack. She’s earned multiple GRAMMYS in Sweden and is among the most heralded names in indie pop by the most trusted names in music, such as Pitchfork (2 x Best New Music), NME and The Guardian.

Ben is fresh off several major performances, including festivals such as Sonar by Night and Electric Forest, and serving as direct support for ODESZA on their recent tour. Looking ahead, he’ll round out his North American tour before embarking on an Australian tour. Then, he’ll head back to Europe for a string of fall shows, including a stop at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace.
