Purple Disco Machine & Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue’s disco-house cut ‘Money Money’ was originally released on Sweat it Out Records in 2021, and now features on Robert PM’s toucan sounds label with remixes from the latter and house legend, Yam Who?. Amping up ’Money Money’s irresistible piano vibes and guitar licks, Yam Who? reworks the original before Robert PM strips back the vocal, increases the tempo, and laces its rhythms with futuristic synths. The release also features an additional instrumental mix by Robert PM, offering an infectious club pumper perfect for the peak time.

“In 2019, Purple Disco Machine approached toucan sounds about collaborating with one of our OG artists, Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue. The result was a re-envisioning of his song, ‘Money’ – and back then, we thought it would be so cool to put together a pack of remixes to celebrate the collaboration. 4 years later, these mixes are finally ready for your ears. This is a Bandcamp Exclusive Digital Release, and available on 12″ wax.” – toucan sounds

Midnight Riot, Black Riot and ISM founder Yam Who? is the internationally known alter ego of the disco producer Andy Williams. Williams is an in-demand producer and remixer with regular slots at Glitterbox, Lovebox, Ministry Of Sound, Horse Meat Disco and Love International. Robert PM, the label manager of New York’s toucan sounds, broke into the scene in 2009 with his bother as French Horn Rebellion. He has been a part of underground Brooklyn culture since then, winding through collaborations in the blog haus era (MGMT), indie pop (St Lucia, The Knocks), to today’s alternative house movement in NYC, where he has released, co-produced, and co-written with cultural bedrocks like musclecars, Dee Diggs, Felipe Gordon, and more.

You can now listen to the full premiere of Yam Who’s? remix of ‘Money Money’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
