Underground mainstays M.E.M.O. and SiS combine forces on the new ‘Nao’ EP, out via Get Physical. Both tracks explore rich, organic, Afro house styles.

Malaga’s M.E.M.O. has already topped the Beatport Electronica charts this year with his gem ‘Forgether’ with Thimble and it comes after many other stylish sounds on home label Mobilee. He has more than 25 years of experience in the scene and his music often makes its way into the record bags of tastemakers like Black Coffee, Solomun and Bedouin. Here he hooks up with SiS, Woomoon Ibiza regular, founder of Cocolino Records and a producer who knows how to cook up heartwarming grooves.

Opener ‘Nao’ is a percussive Afro house track with an alluring vocal. Snappy snares and shakers, twanging hits and broken rhythms all make it a physical sound but one with a lasting sense of emotion thanks to the stirring chord vamps. On the flip, ‘Chaman’ cuts loose with a blend of futuristic synth work and organic percussion. They intertwine perfectly as humid chords and breathless vocals enrich the vibrant track with authentic Afro soul.
