D-Nox & Beckers are joined by man of the moment Gai Barone on the ‘Pretend’ EP.

Born of a shared vision of electronic music, D-Nox & Beckers have become a household name in the world of progressive house. A duo for over 20 years, they are synonymous with quality grooves and dancefloor igniting melodics.

Joining them is Gai Barone, who, with over 15 years of chart successes, is riding the crest of a wave this year with multiple Beatport top tens. Signed to a bewildering array of labels from FSOE to Armada and Selador to Global Underground, Gai shows no signs of slowing down!

The trio show all their studio skills on ‘Acid,’ a thumping blast from the past. Building tension over the opening half, the break reveals a delicate melody before dropping back into a furious acid overture. Fans of Eye Q and early 90’s Harthouse will be all over this!

On the flipside, the dynamic duo drop a brand new cut, ‘Pretend.’ Deep and airy, the opening beats are anchored by a floaty pad and muted melodics before the energy is ramped up by percussive layers and the melodic lines filtering to the front of the mix. The break is respite, introducing more sonic layers that open up in the final section. Understated and undeniable, this will soundtrack the autumn everywhere you find an open-minded dancefloor.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Acid’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
