This can be heard in ‘Lost,’ which utilises mystical, emotionally charged production to cultivate an atmosphere that transports us into the deepest recesses of the cosmos. Hannes’ production techniques encompass inspired use of vocals; with subtle hints of the female voice incorporated throughout, in conjunction with an oscillating low end and considered tension building. Eventually, the voice states “I’m lost without you,” before the track continues to roll out.

Hannes’ attention to detail is exquisite, with various layers of modular synth programming and percussion giving the cut depth and rhythmic dynamism. Most importantly, alongside his technical proficiency, is the feeling Hannes conveys through ‘Lost;’ travelling through space, shrouded in love and driven by awe.
