Christian joins forces with Sky Ladik—two creatives emerging from the deep Taunus woods near Frankfurt—for CBS 20, a genre-bending EP that defies expectations. From the pulsating echoes of 80s house to the stripped-down vibe of rave minimal, the duo effortlessly shift styles, crafting a soundscape that’s both nostalgic and innovative.

Title-cut ‘Glide’ leads with murky bass tones, haunting synth lines, oscillating atmospherics and Burkhardt’s signature organic, loop-led rhythmic style. ‘QC Pass’ follows next and strips things back to shuffled drums, bumpy bass stabs and a subtly unfolding combination of arpeggio lines and modulating leads. ‘Ricsoul’ then concludes the EP with heavily swung drums, vocal chants an amalgamation of choppy stabs and a subtly nuanced progression throughout.
