Danish producer Radeckt and iconic vocalist Ida Corr join forces to deliver a hypnotic, genre-defying new single, ‘Midnight.’ Set for release on January 31st, this collaboration promises to push sonic boundaries and dominate underground dancefloors worldwide.
Known for his brooding, melodic house & techno soundscapes, Radeckt has built a reputation as one of Denmark’s most compelling electronic artists. From the breakout tune of Summer ‘23, ‘Dope Dance’—an ‘Essential New Tune’ on BBC Radio One by Pete Tong—to his debut EP on Human by Default and the launch of his much-acclaimed label Rendition, Radeckt’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. His tracks have garnered support from heavyweights like Dixon, Âme, Mind Against, Keinemusik, Bedouin, Diplo, and Pete Tong, to name a few.
Hailing from northern Copenhagen, Radeckt playfully blends edgy synths, vibrant percussion, and metallic elements with unique drum rhythms, creating an intriguing sound universe full of momentum and originality. His live performances have taken him to some of the world’s most exciting electronic music destinations, including Zamna in Tulum and gigs in Istanbul, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Malaga, Baku, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.
The latest release on his Rendition imprint is the much-anticipated collaboration with Ida Corr. “My first idea about the track was to make a solid house banger, no vocal,” Radeckt explains. “As I worked on the track and felt how hard it was to get satisfied with a main melody, I decided to search for a vocalist. In my thought process around how I wanted the vocal, I quickly made the shift from house to a soulful feel.”
The decision to collaborate with Ida Corr came naturally: “My first thought was to approach Ida, who luckily said yes to give it a go. I sent my basic idea, and she wrote a draft with just gibberish words and melody. I loved the idea from the first draft, and she then wrote the lyrics and finalized the harmony.”
Already supported by a wide range of DJs, including Sasha, Solomun, M.A.N.D.Y., Nandu, Dennis Horvat, Yet More, Mind Against, Jade, DJEFF, and Anthony Pappa, ‘Midnight’ is poised to be a staple in 2025’s dance music landscape.
Speaking about the collaboration, Radeckt said, “Working with Ida was a dream. Her voice brings a depth and energy to the track that elevates it to another level. We wanted to create something that felt timeless yet fresh, and I think we achieved that.”
