Freerange has enjoyed a long-standing connection with the deep house Mecca of South Africa and has, over the years, brought full EPs from several of its talented local producers such as Dwson and Bruce Loco, as well as the amazing ‘City To City: Johannesburg’ EP last year. This relationship continues to grow as the label presents a new EP from another Joburg native who is making waves – Radic The Myth. Having already released on the mighty Stay True Sounds, Freerange is proud to present three new tracks which showcase that distinctive deep, warm, soulful sound which is synonymous with the country, and where you’re as likely to hear emanating from mainstream FM airwaves as being played on the main stages of large-scale festivals.

‘Back To You’ is an understated yet uplifting gem that goes heavy on lush synth chords and warm sub bass, underpinned by crisp and punchy beats which drive the track along perfectly. ‘Phone Call’ utilizes a shuffling groove and the deepest pads as a backdrop to some trippy spoken word vocals, making for an immersive track to float away to.  Finally, ‘Summer Solstice’ brings some soulful, jazzy vibes with Jimpster adding layers of piano and synths to the percussive groove.
