Emerging as part of the West Coast house scene, 24-year-old Kieran San Jose has been turning heads in a short space of time. In just two years, his productions have earned support from the likes of Paco Osuna, Loco Dice, John Summit, Cloonee, and Chelina Manuhutu, with his growing discography now including releases on labels such as Hellbent Records, Organic Pieces, and Sola. For his second EP of 2025, the American talent makes his first outing on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings, a platform for innovative and forward-thinking artists, with his ‘Bad Boy’ EP showcasing no exceptions to that ethos.

The EP kicks off with the hard-hitting and in-demand ‘Bad Boy,’ a groove-laden opener featuring bumping low-ends, choppy vocals and infectious energy that has already been causing a stir and gaining support from artists like Marco Carola and ChaseWest. ‘Mirando’ follows, delivering a deeper cut brimming with subtle textures and captivating jazz and salsa-influenced melodies. Closing out the EP, ‘Same Squad’ sees Kieran teaming up with Peruvian talent Gio Lucca— a previous collaborator with the two linking on NYC staple imprint Nervous. Their partnership here blends tough percussion and intricate basslines, resulting in a peak-time anthem loaded with energy to ignite dancefloors worldwide.
