Lee Foss’ trailblazing Repopulate Mars label returns with the latest instalment of its tastemaking ‘Repopulate Stars’ VA series on April 25th. Following last year’s edition, which received support from BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story, Solardo, Jamie Jones, & more, the label now introduces the next edition of its long-running compilation series with another eclectic display of underground talent.
Marking yet another bold statement in the label’s commitment to unearthing and platforming underground talent, ‘Planet Rumba Vol. 1’ sees twelve artists contribute across seven tracks, with a host of fresh faces all set to make their debut on Repopulate Mars apart from LA-based label regular TheConnect. Joining him is a meaty lineup of up and coming names from across the globe: fellow US-based talents Eddy P, Damelo, Hyde (OFC), Swavé, Jezu, Giovanni Nuñez, Gabriel Rojas, DJ KK, Colombian DJ/producers Ramon Bedoya and Mak Negron, and Venezuelan talent Rawi.
The stacked ‘Planet Rumba Vol. 1’ VA takes in an expansive selection of club-ready, high-impact cuts made for the dancefloor. Expect a cavalcade of peak-time grooves that showcase each artist’s individual studio craft while staying true to Repopulate Mars’ distinctive sound.
