The superb ‘Rock The Spot’ boasts a steamy house groove with shimmering synths adding warmth and soul to funky basslines. Sensuous spoken words add another dimension to this timeless and infectious sound, brimming character. The Brooklyn Classic Mix reworks it as a more direct and heavy feel perfect for the backrooms, and instrumental versions of both mixes pair things back to its brilliant grooves.

Baltimore’s Karizma remixes ‘Rock The Spot’, working in warm bass throbs and percussive drums that jack the floor as its well-treated vocal adds a seductive twist next to subtle chords that infuse plenty of soul.

The now Barcelona-based Ralph Session has releases on labels like Quintessentials, Freerange, Local Talk and Razor N Tape.
