PARIS impresses on This Never Happened with intricate, stripped-back second single from upcoming ‘Labyrinth’ LP

Following the release of ‘Beechworth Cascades,’ Australian producer, DJ, and artist PARIS unveils the second offering from her forthcoming album ‘Labyrinth’ – the progressive and emotionally rich ‘Flourish,’ – out now via Lane 8’s imprint, This Never Happened.

A stripped-back yet intricately constructed club track, ‘Flourish’ is a study in contrast and evolution — its curious staccato melodic motif unfolding into a lush, textured arrangement that’s both percussive and melodic.

Where ‘Beechworth Cascades’ opened ‘Labyrinth’ with reflective nature-inspired textures, ‘Flourish’ signals a shift into more progressive territory, both musically and narratively. Built with a dancer’s ear and a producer’s attention to space, the track embodies the sense of movement, tension, and resolution that defines PARIS’s work.

“This one felt like a moment of clarity — simple, playful, but also patient,” says PARIS. “It’s one of those tracks that just grew into itself.”

‘Flourish’ follows the success of PARIS’s Into the Labyrinth tour, a series of three extended 4-hour headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane that previewed the album’s expansive world in full cinematic scope. Later this year, PARIS will continue building global momentum with support slots for Lane 8 and Sultan + Shepard in South Africa, followed by her return to the US this November for This Never Happened Presents dates in Chicago and Denver. A full Labyrinth tour announcement is still to come.

‘Labyrinth’ arrives August 29th on This Never Happened, a debut album that captures over a decade of sonic evolution, introspection, and growth from one of Australia’s most compelling electronic voices.
